Rune had stopped his kicing momentarily, as he stared at Turu and Zami. What were they saying?! Rune winced as he felt Zami's breath beat heavily against him. He felt as though he could faint at any moment, his breath stunk horribly. O-oh, God...t-this is Zami...this is the bastard that killed my family...I'm not ready... he thought to himself. He squeezed his eyes shut. But...it's too late to listen to Turu...I'm just gonna have to kill him now!! he though, and felt a jolt of determination flow through him. All he had to do was grab his sword, and slit Zami's throat. No problem! I can do this! he thought to himself, and reached for his sword.
But Zami had obviously spotted him and got a hold of Rune's sword and threw down on the ground, aiming for Turu. Which, luckily, Turu was able to doge easily. "H-hey!! TURU! STOP TALKING AND GET ME DOWN!" he screamed and started his kicing again. He felt stupid doing this, but at the moment he really did not care. He didn't like being this high off the ground. He couldn't do a thing without his swords...he suddenly froze when he heard a ripping noise, he looked up to find his cape starting to rip in two. "T-turu..." he whimpered, and for the first time he had been in a long time, he was scared.

Turu looked up in horror as Rune was picked up by Zami. If it had been up to him, he would never want to see Zami again. "RUNE!" he yelled and jumped towards him, but was knocked down by Zami's tail. "Grr" he growled as he slid across the ground diging his claws firmly into the ground as he slid. Rune rolled his eyes at Turu. "Yeah, right, Turu. You're just saying that so I'll turn around, and then you'll tackle me so I can't go anyw-" he was cut off when he felt his cape lift up above his head and his feet float off the ground. Rune's eyes widened and he immidiately started kickings his legs and moving his arms up and down, trying to get free. "W-what the hell?! ...WHAA!! Turu!! Get me down!!" he screamed and right then he came face to face with what was the hugest monster Rune had ever seen in his life. Zami. //Rune @ Saturday, December 13, 2003, 11:12 p.m.//
Turu awoke sometime during the night because of the wind "Stupid wind...why's it so cold" he wispered to himslef and started to curl up into a ball when he noticed Rune was missing. Turu stood up shivering a bit looking for Rune, but he couldn't find him "Where'd he go?" he said quietly straching his head. He held his nose up to the air and sniffed while perking up his ears for any noise. Turu then turned to ZuuZuu and slowly walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder "Zuu wake up" he said as she slowly opened her eyes and looked up at him. "What's wrong Turu? Can't sleep?" she asked streatching her arms out. Turu just shook his head "Rune's missing, I picked up his sent from over there," he said pointing to the right "but I just wanted to tell you I'm going to see what's wrong with him. Ok? Wake up Sky...and Wings if you want ZuuZuu, and tell Sky to follow my trail 'cause when I track things I work fast and I don't know if you'd be able to keep up with me."ZuuZuu nodded "Ok," Turu turned to leave "and Turu be careful. I mean the woods are crawling with monsters at this time of night." she smiled. Turu gave her a thumbs up sign and dashed off in the direction he smelt Rune in, leaving ZuuZuu to wake up Sky and Wings. Rune what are you thinking running off in the middle of the night? Turu thought to himself as he ran through the forest, and then one thought came to mind Zami. "Rune, you can't be thinking of taking on Zami...What am I saying that's probably exactly what you're thinking." he mumbled to himself as he entered a clearing in the woods.
ZuuZuu was poking Sky in the side, but the dragon wasn't even moving "Well he's a sound sleeper" she grumbled to herself walking over to Wings hoping to get better results. "Wings?" she called poking the unicorn once. The horse stired and stood up "Yes dear how can I help you?" she smiled. It amazes me how poliete unicorns can be ZuuZuu thought to herself "Can you help me wake up Sky?" she asked. When the two finally woke Sky up ZuuZuu explained what Turu had told her and they slowly started to walk. "Shouldn't we be moving faster?" ZuuZuu asked looking at Sky who was sniffing the ground. He looked up "I'm not Turu, girl. My nose isn't as strong so this is as fast as we can go." he glared.
Turu had just steped into the clearing when he noticed that Rune's sent had gotten stronger. Turu quickened his pace and in no time saw a familar looking cloak. "RUNE!" he called out and jumped in front of the human. "What do you think your doing!" he yelled at Rune "You can't just get up and leave right when you've made friends, it doesn't work that way! Stop isolating your self from others!" Rune looked down at the monster, where did he get off telling him what he should do and how he should act "It's none of your business Turu" Turu stuck his tongue out at Rune "Well I'm going to make it my business-" he paused and raised a finger pointing to something behind Rune "Z-za-z-zami" he gasped.

Later that night, when ZuuZuu had fallen asleep, Rune finally got up and checked to see what Sky and Wings were up to. It seemed to him they were both asleep, so he quietly walked over to the group, looked at ZuuZuu. He hadn't even known the girl for more then a week, and he, as much as he didn't like to admit it, was rather attacthed to her. She offered him food, and kept talking to him no matter how he acted. No one had ever done that to him before. Usually, he'd tell them to leave and they would. But she didn't. She was different. He shifted his gaze to Turu. They argued alot, sure, but they did have a few good moments here and there. And Turu wasn't that bad. He had, afterall tried and succeeded in convincing Rune to stay away from Zami. For a little while, at least.
Rune glanced at Sky, and only one thought came to mind - Stupid dragon... And Wings? She was a beautiful sight to see most certainly, but...he still thought she was annoying.
Rune turned around as quietly as he could, not wanting to wake up any of them. When he was a good distance away from their little camp, he started picking up his pace to a jog, and then eventually started running as fast he could. "I'm going to kill you, Zami...and I don't care if I die, but I swear I'm taking you with me." he mutterted angirly as he made his way through the forest.

Wings watched Rune walk further down the river side and sit down again. I wonder what is bothering him? she thought to herself. Wings walked over to Sky and ZuuZuu "How does Rune know Zami?" she asked Sky. "His village was destroyed by the Zami gang" Sky said quite calmly "Why? Is the human thinking of going after Zami again?" Wings tilted her head "Again?" Sky nodded "Yes again, Turu stoped him the first time though...Well it may have been the first time, but Turu stoped him from fighting Zami since we've met the human." "Well I don't think he's planing of fighting him" Wings guessed "He just said he wanted to be alone."ZuuZuu sat down, Turu in her lap "Poor thing" she said stroking Turu's head "Turu you shouldn't be afraid of unicorns" she wispered to the sleeping monster.

"Nothing." Rune replied angirly and scooted away from Wings. The Unicorn looked at him, knowing right off the bat that he lied. It was silent between the two, until Rune finally got uncomfortable with Wings being there. "Can you please leave? I want to be alone." he said, still not even taking a glance at Wings. But Wings did not leave. Instead she smiled warmly down at Rune. "Somethings troubling you. Maybe I can help." she said.
Rune shook his head. "I doubt you or anyone else could help me." he replied.
"...Well...what's wrong?" Wings asked, deciding she'd give another shot at getting Rune to talk to her. "Does it have to do with Turu?
Rune glanced over at Wings, eyeing her a bit angirly. She was so persistent! "No," he paused, and looked down at his reflection, "It has to do with Zami. That stupid bastard..." he mumbled to himself and continued staring at himself.
Wings looked at Rune in intrest. "Zami? How do you know him?"
Rune was silent and he stood up. "I'd like to be alone, please." he said and walked further down the river, and once he was a good distance away from Wings, sat down again. I'm so weak...and Turu's right, I can't beat him. I don't have a chance...if I was beat up by Korosu... he put his hands on his head, pulling his hair. Maybe I should just go up and fight him anyways...I mean, who cares if I die trying. I'm willing to do it...

ZuuZuu looked at Turu in her arms and then looked up at Rune who was sitting by the river "What's wronmg with him?" she said aloud "I guess Turu's contant crying put him to sleep" she said talking about Turu. Sky sighed "That's common with Turu, that's how he usually puts himself to sleep." he said shaking his head. Rune had felt Turu's claws let go of his shirt, and he had also seen Turu's eyes, which were closed. And so, he let his arms out and caught Turu to find the little monster fast asleep. But when he looked at Turu, he noticed that his shirt had holes in them, thanks to Turu's claws. He gritted his teeth, his temper reachings its peaks. "First my hair, and now my shirt..." he mumbled to himself angirly, and as much as he just wanted to drop Turu on the ground, or throw him against a tree, he pushed Turu into ZuuZuu's arms. 45 minutes later Rune had given up on trying to get Turu to let go of him. Turu was becoming quite tired himself and stoped crying. I can't hold on much longer, I'm getting tired, but there's no way I can let go and even think of going near that unicorn. he thought to himself and shuddered. I can't let go...but I'm so tired...I can't think that way I can hold on, I must, so sleepy...So verry sleepy. Turu's eyes were slowly closing and in about 1 minute he let go of Rune's shirt.//ZuuZuu @ Sunday, December 7, 2003, 07:15 p.m.//
ZuuZuu and Sky glanced at each other, then back at Rune. "Well...Rune's back to normal..." ZuuZuu said. Sky nodded in agreement. "LEETTT GOOOO OF MEEE!!!" Rune moaned with gritted teeth as he continued to try and get Turu's claws off his shirt. But Turu would just cry cling on tighter. Eventually, Rune got up on his feet, but Turu stayed attachted to his chest, not daring to let go. Rune had managed to get one of Turu's hands off his chest, but when he went for the other hand Turu would just put his hand back on his shirt. "WA!" Turu cried out he didn't want to let go and go anywhere near Wings. He didn't care if it was an acident that she stepted on his tail, it nevered stoped the pain he felt and he didn't want to get over it. He started to sniff again and a little while later burst out crying again. "Turu stop being such a baby and get OFF OF ME!" Rune yelled at him trying to pry (sp?) Turu's hands off his shirt so it wouldn't rip. "Let go of me!" he yelled again. Rune sighed and rolled his eyes. "Are you okay Turu? ...Come on, Turu, talk...say something...anything...?" But when Turu said nothing, Rune's temper was slowly coming back. "Talk..." he said again, but Turu didn't, and Rune was getting angry with him. And after 5 minutes passed, Rune grabbed Turu and yanked him off his shirt. Well, he attempted to anyway. It turned out Turu had latched his claws onto Rune's shirt, and so when Rune yanked, his shirt would only stretch out, nearly ripping. "Turu, get off of me!! Just get over the horse thing!!" Wings looked a bit taken aback. "'Horse'? I'm a Unicorn...there's a big difference." she said, but Rune ignored her as he was too busy dealing with Turu.//Rune @ Sunday, December 7, 2003, 12:08 p.m.//
Rune kept poking Turu on the head "Have you stoped crying yet?" he asked and continued poking Turu's head. Turu twitched his ears everytime Rune poked him on the head and wined. Eventually when he was feed up with the poking he took his hands and placed them on his head, but kept his face hidden. "Well if you ask me I think that's a good sign. Rune had felt Turu's ears twitch against his chest, and he looked down at Turu with an odd expression on his face. ZuuZuu raised her eyebrows. "What's wrong now, Rune?" she asked. Rune shook his head. "Nothing..." he said, still looking at Turu. He poked Turu on the head for a moment, because Turu's face was still buried in his shirt making it not visible to anyone. Wings gasped "I steped on his tail, oh my how could I have let that happen." Sky looked at her dully "You can't really blame your self Wings. Turu was extreamly small when he first met you...then again he still is small, one of the smallest maonsters I've seen anyways. The only things smaller then his are the ovious like some birds and bugs, but other then that he's pretty much the smallest monster." Turu's ears twitched What does he mean I'm small!? Sure I am shorter then most things and I was really small when I was a baby, but I'm not that small...If only that unicorn wasn't there, then I might be able to move and actually say something to Sky's comment about my hight. he thought to himself.//ZuuZuu @ Friday, December 5, 2003, 05:52 p.m.//
Rune opened his mouth to speak, but closed it again - did Turu want them to know? It had taken quite a while for Rune to get Turu to tell him why he was so upset, and when he had, the monster seemed to be a little embarassed. What if he didn't want them to know...? Rune looked down at Turu, who didn't look up. "Well, Human?" Sky asked, getting impatient, "Why's he so upset?" Rune looked up at Sky and glared at him. "I have a name, you know." he had a snotty ring to his voice, "How would you like it if I called you 'dragon' all the time?" Sky just glared back at him and opened his mouth to say something, but Wings cut him off. "What did I do to make him cry?" she asked, frowning. Rune looked away from Sky, and at Wings. "You..er...well..." he looked at Turu again, and decided he just tell them. They'd probably find out sooner or later...and maybe Turu and Wings could get this sorted out. Then again, Turu might just remain afraid of Unicorns forever. "He, uh, told me that when he was little, you were the first unicorn he saw...and when he did, you stepped on his tail and..." ZuuZuu, Sky and Wings walked over to Rune and Turu "I thought you and Turu never got along." ZuuZuu said completly shocked that Rune was comforting Turu. SKy nodded "The two of you are usually at each other's throats." ZuuZuu took more notice at Turu "Why is he crying? I've never seen him cry before" "it's her" Rune said pointing at Wings. Turu had buried his face in Rune's shirt, and Rune took the oppurtunity to role his eyes. He wanted to say "Get over it." but he didn't, because he knew that'd be rude, and rudeness wasn't what he thought was necessary here. Instead he said, "I guess that's a good reason...but you know, she isn't going to hurt you...and I'm positive she didn't mean to do that when you younger, Turu." Turu seemed to have not heard, because he didn't move. Meanwhile, Sky had stopped talking, when he saw Rune and Turu. His mouth opened slightly as he stared at them - they were getting along? More then that, Rune was trying to make Turu feel better. ZuuZuu and Wings noticed Sky's facial expression and turned in the direction Turu and Rune were in. ZuuZuu had almost the exact reaction as Sky.

Turu sniffed "I-it-and" he tryed to complete the sentence, but couldn't and bursted out in tears and clung tighter to Rune's shirt burying his face in it. "Turu..." Rune started, he really didn't want him clinging to his shirt like that. Turu sniffed and looked up at Rune tears rolling down his face "S-sorry R-ru-rune" he aplogized "Y-you p-probably want m-me to leave y-you alone" he said sniffing some more. "Why are you afraid of a horse?" Rune asked again happy that Turu was now talking in full sentances. He wimpered and a few more tears rolled down his face "It's-it's just th-tha-that" he swallowed "You'll think it-it's stupid." he said pouting. "What is it" Rune repeated, he was starting to get agravated. "Wha-when I was a baby...An-and I first met a unicorn, it-it was Wings and she-she steped on my-my ta-tail...I-I never said anything, bu-but ever since th-then I've be-been afraid of unicorns...the on-only memory I have of unicorns is-is p-pain..." he started to cry more and burried his head in Rune's shirt.//ZuuZuu @ Thursday, December 4, 2003, 09:58 p.m.//
Rune frowned deeply and let Turu continue on with his whimpering and sniffing. And, although he didn't do anything - Rune didn't like Turu grabbing hold of his shirt, but he let him go ahead anyways. He better not tear my shirt too... Rune had thought selfishly to himself. From time to time, Rune would try and say something to get him to calm down, but nothing had worked. After 5 minutes or so, Rune noticed Turu was on the brink of crying. He raised his eyebrows and straightened his posture. "Turu?" he paused, thinking "Er...don't cry...it doesn't really suit you..." he said. Turu looked up at Rune with wide, watery eyes, and said nothing. "Can you please tell me why you're so damn scared of a horse now?" Rune asked, hoping that Turu was calm enough to be able to speak in sentences.//Rune @ Thursday, December 4, 2003, 09:19 p.m.//
Turu continuied shaking "S-scare-scary..." he gulped "...hooves, the-the horn, t-ta-tall..." was all he managed to say and he started to wimper again. He grabed hold of Rune's shirt his ears, were down all the way they could go and he sniffed from time to time. Rune stopped trying to get Turu off after a while had passed, and folded his arms, pouting. "Turu...you're such a-" he stopped when he felt his leg vibrating slightly. He looked down at the little monster, who shaking more and more violently then he had been. Rune frowned - Turu looked scared out of his mind. Rune glanced up at the unicorn, who seemed to be in a good conversation with ZuuZuu and Sky. Rune looked back at Turu, yanked him off (which took almost all his strength to do so), and sat down, indian-style. And, for some reason, Rune was feeling sorry for Turu. Maybe because when he was a little boy he had been just as scared when his village was attacked as Turu seemed to be now. Basically, he knew what fear felt like, and it was always nice to have someone comfort you. Something Rune hadn't recieved...since he ended up alone after the attack.
Rune grabbed the shaking Turu, and placed him in his lap. "What's wrong with you, Turu?" he asked, "...she isn't going to hurt you, you know." Rune said, and for the first time, he was gentle with Turu.

ZuuZuu looked up at Wings "Oh, I'm ZuuZuu and that over there is Rune." she smiled. Wings smiled back "I wish I knew why he was afraid of me..." she said glancing back at Turu clinging to Rune's leg. Sky shook his head "If he'd actually talk about it, even a few words then we might know why." he grunted. "Turu LET GO!" Rune shouted again at Turu. Rune looked down at the shaking Turu, "Get off me." he snarled and shook his leg a bit, but Turu just latched onto his leg tighter, and even if Rune was to shake his leg as hard as possible, Turu probably wouldn't fall off. Wings tilted her heard slightly and then sighed, deciding she'd just leave Turu alone for a while longer. Just as she started to turn, she took notice to the little scene Turu and Rune were making. Rune was continuing to try and shake off Turu, shouting "Get off me, you little runt!" and other things of that nature as he did so, and Turu would just groan and cry shouting back at him. Wings looked at ZuuZuu and Sky. "I don't think I've ever seen him before..." she said, and looked down at ZuuZuu. "And you too." she said, and smiled.

"GAH!" Turu shouted and fell off Rune's shoulder. As he landed he quickly got up, ran over to Sky and his behind him shaking his tail between his legs. The Unicorn looked over to where Sky and Turu were "He's still afraid of me?" she said her voice calm and soft. Hearing her voice made Rune relax a bit and he droped his hand from the hilt of his sword. "Good to see you Wings." Sky said walking forward, Turu followed wanting to stay behind Sky. Wings still stood in front of Rune, she was pure white with the exception of her golden horn, her body gave off a small glow which made her look more beautiful then any other horse.ZuuZuu stood in awe "She's beautiful" she stoped and looked at Turu "Turu how can you be afraid of her?" for once ZuuZuu was lost for words. "Somehow she scared Turu when he was a baby" Sky replied knowing Turu wasn't going to say a thing. "W-why'd you-you have t-to c-ca-call her S-sky?" Turu wispered trembling. Wings walked over to the water "How could the council have missed this river?" she asked turning to Sky. Sky grunted "I don't know, think you can fix it." "Of course" she said politely (sp?) as she diped her horn into the water.
The water slowly started to become clear and she then walked over to Turu and bent her head down to his level "Turu?" she started, but Turu freaked out and ran over to Rune and clinged onto his leg shaking.

When Rune heard Turu say, "Maybe I can find something else." the swordsman slowly started to edge away. No way is he getting on my head again. he thought to himself. But before he could have one more thought or move away, Turu latched onto Rune's back again and climbed on top of his head. "TURU!" Rune snapped. "Get - off - of - me!" he shouted. Turu rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Rune, I already told you, you're tall so -" Rune rolled his eyes, "Blah, blah, blah...I don't care!" he said, "Just hurry up." As he stood there, Rune thought about what Sky, ZuuZuu and Turu had mentioned earlier. Unicorns...? Rune had never, in his entire life seen a unicorn. He had heard about them, of course, but only in fairy-tales back when he was very young and had a family. He had heard they were very beautiful white horses, and...Rune stopped recalling the stories - Turu said that the unicorn was scary. He snorted out loud, which made Turu look down at him.
"What's wrong with you now?" Turu asked. Rune shook his head. "Nothing...just thinking..." Turu raised his eyebrows. "About what?" he asked slowly and went down to Rune's shoulder. "...you're afraid of a horse?" Rune asked and was about to make a mostly likely rude comment hoping to embarass Turu, but at that moment, something came gallaping from behind and when Rune turned around he was face to face with a unicorn. Rune's eyes widened as his eyes met the unicorn's and he backed up immidiately. "Get away!" Rune cried out, and started reaching for his sword.

Turu look at the river disgusted "Yuck, well at lest I tried" he shugged and stuck his tongue out at the river. ZuuZuu hoped off Sky as he walked up to the river and peared into it "I should get Wings to come here and fix this up-" Turu turned to Sky "You mean that unicorn, she's scary if you ask me." ZuuZuu walked over to the two monsters "You know a unicorn...wait how can a unicorn be scary?" Turu shook his head "She just is." As Sky and ZuuZuu engaged into a conversation, Rune and Turu had done the exact same. "I'm not being grumpy." Rune said and looked down at Turu who he was walking beside. Turu rolled his eyes. "Yes you are." Rune gritted his teeth. "No I'm not." Turu repeated what he had said a few seconds ago, and Rune did the same. And now they were going back and forth, Turu saying 'Yes' and Rune giving a 'No'. Sky and ZuuZuu looked over at them when they noticed they hadn't stopped. "So immature..." Sky sighed, shaking his head. It didn't take too much time until all four of them heard water flowing behind a dozen or so trees, and hearing that, Turu and Rune stopped their bickering and dashed over in the direction the water was heard. They climbed between the tress, excited they'd be getting some food, but their spirits dropped when they saw the river. It was brown and goopy looking, and all together disgusting. Rune walked over to the edge of the water and looked at it. He turned to Turu after a glance, "Is this the river you had sniffed out?" he spat, "There won't be any fish in there...they're probably all dead!"

Turu turned around and started walking backwards, his arms were behind his head "Rune you sure are grumpy...I mean it's not like I purposly riped out some of your hair. So get over it already and stop being so grumpy" ZuuZuu was siting on Sky's back and they were behind Rune and Turu. "They really don't get along" Sky stated "They need to learn how to get along before they end up yelling each other to death." Turu had stuck out his tongue at Rune, and for a moment there, Rune was wanting to do just the same back. But he forced himself not to; he felt that wasn't a thing he would do. Turu had announced he found out where a stream or river was, and urged the three to follow him. Rune stood there, with his arms folded, waiting for ZuuZuu and Sky to come up. When they were all in the same spot, Turu led them in the direction he had smelled the water. "If better not be far." Turu sniffed the air, he was getting a much better sent from sitting on Rune's head. "Are you done yet?" Rune said for the who knows how manyith time. Turu looked down Give me one second here" he said and started sniffing the air again. 1 second later: "One second's up" Rune stated, he wanted Turu off him now. Turu climbed off Rune's head and onto his shoulder, he then slid down Rune's arm and landed on the ground "You rush too much Rune." Rune's mouth opened slightly at Turu's last sentence. "You wouldn't..." he started. Turu grinned even more, "If you'd like to find out-" Rune cut him off. "Fine! But hurry up!" he said, and folded his arms, mutterting to himself. Turu thought he had gotten a scent a few minutes later, "Rune, walk over that way,. I can smell something, but it's not very strong." Rune shook his head, making Turu go back and forth. "No way. You're lucky I'm even letting you on my head." Turu smirked, "And you're lucky I'm not making you go bald." Rune stiffened and was silent. Turu simled triumphntly(sp?), loving the power he had over Rune. "Fine." Rune said, "Which way?" he asked boringly. Turu pointed to his left, and Rune walked that way. As he walked, he kept asking every 20 seconds, "Can you get off now?" or "Are you done yet?"

ZuuZuu smiled "There. You were taking too long Rune." Turu sighed "Well I feel like a rag-doll. Not a very plesent feeling." Sky yawned and waddled over to the three "So you've become scissors now, have you Turu." he chuckled. Turu's face didn't look too amused "That's not funny Sky" he paused "Oh and I've been meaning to ask you where you've been, because the last time I saw you was 5 years ago. I mean, why suddenly show up now?" Sky looked up "I've been busy, things have been really hectic. Trying to keep the peace between monsters, demons and humans is a very hard thing." ZuuZuu bent down beside Turu "So are you guys like best friends or something?" Turu and Sky looked at her "I guess you could say that" Turu replied before Sky could say anything."ZuuZuu did you say that you lost all your stuff when you were kidnaped?" Turu asked tilting his head a bit. ZuuZuu nodded "Yea." Turu sniffed "That-that means all the food is gone" he wimpered "I'm starving-" "Why don't you go look for food then Turu?" Sky said dully "Or have you become a domestic pet monster?" Turu blushed and looked down "Although I hate to admit it" he sighed "I think I've become domestic, which I guess can be a good and a bad thing."
Turu looked back up "I don't think I know the differences between berries anymore, so can get thoses...um..." then it hit him "I know! FISH! I need to find a strem or something." He turned his gaze to ZuuZuu "Did you see a strem or something when you taken over here Zuu?" ZuuZuu shock her head "Not that I saw." Turu pointed his nose in the air "Turu what are you doing?" Sky said confused. Turu grined "Sky you're like 782 years old and you never seen someone sniffing out water." Sky lifted his tail up and wack Turu on the head (lightly of course) "My age is classified! And water has no smell-" "Sky you're a dragon, everyone knows you're old" his smile grew bigger "And I know what a place with water smell like, so I know I can find something." ZuuZuu looked at Sky "Wow, you're 782...Hey um, Turu are you that old too?" "Wha!" Turu said and fell falt on his butt. "The fuzball is 28" Sky said calmly. Turu folded his arms "How could you even think that I'm as old as Sky!?" "Sorry"
Turu stood up and walked over to Rune, he lifted his nose again and sniffed the air. After a dew minutes he jumped onto Rune's arm and climbed onto his shoulder and then his head. "Turu get off!" Rune yelled at him. "Rune stop moving I need a higher place to sniff and your tall." he said sniffing the air. "Get off!" "No! I'm hungry and I need to find food, so quit your wineing...Oh and I wouldn't advise trying to take me off your head bacuse, I know you don't want to loose anymore hair." he said grining.

Rune's face turned red again, feeling as stupid as he ever had before. "O-oh yeah...you're fangs...er..." he swallowed and looked down at his hands for a while, then once he felt as though he had recovered from his embarassment, looked up again. He sighed, and looked at Turu, who was smiling and holding on his hand, waiting. Rune could tell Turu wanted to laugh at him, and he would have too if ZuuZuu hadn't told him not too. Seeing this, Rune puffed his cheeks out a bit and grabbed Turu's hand and pulled Turu towards him a bit harshly. "Okay." Rune said softly to himself, and took a deep breath - this was going to be...awkward. Turu sighed, "Hurry up, Rune..." Rune nodded stiffly. "I am...! But this...this is weird..." he mumbled, and sat there by the puddle, holding Turu's hand, staring at his reflection. He didn't do anything for the next 5 minutes.
"Rune! Are you going to just sit there?!" ZuuZuu asked. When Rune didn't do anything, she was finally getting fed up herself, and ZuuZuu took action. She grabbed Turu's other hand that was near her, and stepped behind Rune. Then, with one stroke, made Rune's hair the same length and evened it out the best she could.

Turu looked at his hand "My claws posionous? That's new" he grined "Actually my claws are posionous!" he grined and then started to laugh. ZuuZuu look at Turu a stern look on her face "Turu don't lie!" she said and hit him on the head. "Ok, fine actually it's my saliva that's posionous. Yup my drool, so as long as you don't touch my teeth you and your hair will be fine." Turu spoke as he smiled a bit. Rune stared at Turu's claws for a moment, then glanced at ZuuZuu, looking very uneasy. Turu stood there, still holding out his hand, waiting. But when about 3 minutes passed, and Rune didn't do anything, Turu dropped his hand to his side. "Well? Are you going to do it or not?" Turu asked. Rune nodded his head. "I-I am!" he looked at Turu's claws. "But...but aren't your claws are poisinous...?" he asked, "Will it burn my hair off or something?!" he asked, and started freaking out again. Turu twitched "WHAT!" he shouted causing ZuuZuu to drop him. He slowly got up after the drop and dusted himself off "Why am I always being volunteered for things..." he looked up at Rune and sighed "I guess I'll do it" he held up his hand "You use my claws, ok. You probably wouldn't like it if I cut your hair myself, so you can just use me as a knife..." Why am I agreeing to this again? Rune stayed in the same posistion he was in, with his arms folded, and his face still a little red. After a brief silence, he looked at ZuuZuu. "...will...are you sure he won't mess my hair up even more?" he questioned. ZuuZuu smiled. "He won't!" she said, reassuringly. Rune still didn't look convinced. Maybe he should just wait until he finds a knife somewhere...but then again, that could be a day or even more - and with Rune, he wanted his hair fixed now. Rune looked at Turu. ZuuZuu walked up beside Rune, still holding Turu "Hey Rune don't be embarassed" she smiled "You could still use Turu, his claws are sharper then any knife." Turu squrmed around in her arms "Hey! Watch who you're volunteering, ZuuZuu! I don't do hair ok!" he said trying to get ZuuZuu to let go of him, but failed and folded his arms. Rune made a face, and shook his head. "No way! He's the reason I need a knife!" he exclaimed, pointing at Turu. ZuuZuu raised an eyebrow and frowned. "Why do you need a kni-" Rune interrupted her. "So I can fix my hair. It's uneven...one side is longer then the other, and it looks horrible." he said flatly. ZuuZuu stared at Rune, and then giggled. "You sound like a girl, Rune...the way you're talking about your hair." Rune went red in the face. "N-no! I do not!" ZuuZuu just giggled at him again, "Stop laughing!" Rune said, embarassed. ZuuZuu smiled, as she slowly stopped her giggling. "It's just funny...that you of all people would care about your hair so much..." she said. Rune had no idea what to say, and so, not wanting to look at anyone at the moment, turned his back to them.

Turu stood there as Rune walked over to where ZuuZuu and Sky were. Why didn't he throw me down? Rune's really weird, sometimes...He really must have liked that long hair... Turu thought to himself as he walked over to the others. "Do you have a knife, ZuuZuu?" Rune asked out of nowhere. "What do you want a knife for?" she asked, but continued talking before Rune could answer "Anyway I don't have one, I lost all my things when I was kidnaped. But I usally get Turu to cut things for me" she said picking up Turu as he walked over to where they were standing "I'm sure he'd love to help you out." Rune uncovered his ears once he felt the ringing evaporate. He glanced over at Turu, who was still on his shoulder, and said , "...I'm okay now..." and instead of looking at Turu, Rune stared at his feet. Suddenly, Rune jolted upwards, and stood up straight. "Get off me." he snapped at Turu, and grabbed Turu and placed him on the ground gently - something Turu hadn't expected - what he was expecting was the be thrown onto the ground. Rune then turned on his heel and slumped back over to where Sky and ZuuZuu where. When he got there, Sky and ZuuZuu where silent as Rune walked past them. Sky's head perked up a little - was the human leaving?! But Sky's excitment quickly escaped when Rune stopped and squatted down near a puddle. Rune stared at his reflection for a while, frowning deeply. I look...really...ugly, and, stupid and... he started to think to himself as he tried to pull his hair back into a ponytail. But failed because his hair was now too short to be tied back. He sighed, and out of the blue, asked, "Do you have a knife, ZuuZuu?"

Turu sat on the ground rubbing his head "Your ears will stop ringing soon. AND the only reason I did that was because you were freaking me out." Turu stood up and climbed onto Rune's shoulder "Sometimes humans can be so weird...so the ringing gone yet? When Turu had started screaming (which, unfortunatly for Rune, was right in his ear since they were practically face to face), Rune, at first had just tightened the grip on Turu's tail, but it didn't take terribly long until Rune had nearly fainted from Turu's horrible screeching. Rune let go of Turu's tail so he could cover his ears, which were ringing and throbbing nonstop thanks to Turu's screeches. Turu landed on the ground with a thud and was immidiately silenced. "Uughh..." Rune moaned as he kept his throbbing ears covered. "D-dammit, Turu...what w-was th-that for..?!"//Rune @ Tuesday, December 2, 2003, 08:12 p.m.//
"Sky I think we should stop Rune..." ZuuZuu said starting to get worried. Sky just grunted "No let them fight it out." he said dully. "Ok if you're sure" she swallowed.Turu was waving his arms around "Rune put me down! Let go! Leggo!" But Rune just kept grining thinking of what he could do for payback. "Rune...calm down, please...I didn't do it on purpose! It was an accident! REALLY!" Turu stoped talking for a moment took a deep breath and then continued "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he started screaming, which wasn't to pleaseing to the ears.
Sky perked his head up "Great he's screaching...Now that's going to draw some attention. I thought he couldn't do that anymore..." ZuuZuu was holding her hands over her ears "He's really loud...TURU SHUT UP!" she screamed towards Turu.

Rune, had been chasing Turu around like a maniac, came to a sudden halt when Turu had tripped. "HA! I have you now you little..." Rune started and bent down and picked Turu up by the tail. Turu let out a yelp as he felt his tail be grabbed and his body lift off the ground. Rune just laughed at him, and a very menacing look gleamed in his eyes. This was definately not a side of Rune anyone had seen before. "Now...what should I do to little Turu for pay back...?" Rune asked himself.//Rune @ Tuesday, December 2, 2003, 06:28 p.m.//
Turu was runing as fast as he could from Rune "Really, I-I didn't mean it!" he yelled back at Rune who was gaining on him. "I'm sorry! Get over it!" Rune kept chaseing Turu "Get over it?! GET OVER IT!? YOU RIPED OUT MY HAIR AND YOU'RE TELLING ME TO GET OVER IT!" Turu realizing that talking would do a thing started to run faster...Untill of course he triped over a rock and fell flat on his face "Uh..." he said shaking his head."You think they'll stop now?" ZuuZuu said falling asleep. Sky started to snore "Hey wake up!" ZuuZuu said poking him. Sky slowly opened his eyes "Are they done yet?" "No, but Turu just triped...Think they'll stop now?" she repeted. "I don't really think so, knowing Turu...and if the human's as stuborn as him this could take a while." he snoted.

Rune, who was stil in a state of shock stood there, stiff and wide-eyes. But one he had put the shock of loosing his precious, long hair, anger swallowed him whole. "...Turu..." he breathed with angirly with gritted teeth. Turu backed up, the hair still in his hand, which Rune eyed angrily. Turu saw where Rune's eyes had wandered to, and slowly, he looked at the fist full of hair. "I...I'm really sorry, Rune...I didn't meant to..." Turu said again. Rune glared at him, and in no time came running towards Turu, full speed. "TURU, YOU'LL PAY!!!" he screamed and Turu immidiately started running as fast as he could to get away from Rune.
Rune had chased Turu for what seemed forever to Sky and ZuuZuu. "...should we do something now?" ZuuZuu asked with a dull voice. Sky, who was nearly asleep shrugged. "...nah...they'll stop sooner or later..."

Rune had felt his head jerk back when Turu had grabbed his hair. He looked back to see the little monster grinning, looking as though he had won their little 'battle'. Rune glared at Turu. "Turu, let go!!" he shouted, but Turu just smiled and pulled his hair harder. "Nope. Sorry, Rune...I can't do that." he said. Rune groaned. "Turu, just let me go..." he said, very much annoyed. Turu shook his head. "No! If I let go you'll start running off again." Rune suddenly went silent. Turu was quiet as well, and after the 5 minute silence, Rune made an unexpected move Turu wasn't ready for. Rune had tried his best to push Turu off of him, which made Turu tighten the grip on Rune's ponytail. Rune had eventually suceeded in getting Turu to fall off, but as Turu had fallen off him, Rune felt something a little...odd.
When the swordsman turned around, he saw Turu on the ground, with a handful of his hair. Rune's jaw dropped, and slowly and shakily, he reached for his ponytail...but it wasn't there. "M...my...my hair..."

Turu looked Rune in the eye "I can't, it's not my place to say." he said and rudely stuck his tongue out at Rune. "Hmph, I don't care what you say Rune, I can't say a thing and I'm not letting you go and face Zami! Are you trying to get yourself killed, because personaly it seems that way. You really need to get some common-sense and stop being such an idiot! I know Zami and as much as you're good at fighting you don't stand a chance. You're not going anywhere.""Do they always fight like that?" Sky asked turning to ZuuZuu. She nodded "Ever since we met Rune all Rune and Turu seem to do is argue. I think it could be because they're similar in personality, except for of course Turu is usually polite. But since Rune's been here, he's been pretty rude." Sky yawned "Well that makes sense" he sat down "I've known Turu for a long time and he's only polite when he wants to be, otherwise he can be quite rude." ZuuZuu sat down "Since you're an old friend of Turu's how long do you think this will keep up? If they keep yelling aren't they going to atract a lot of attention?" she questioned. Sky thought for a while "I'm not to sure how long this will last, but the only one they'll atract is Zami. All of his goons are most likely afraid of the two, so only Zami would come down here. And that is very unlikely."
"Well then if you're not ging to tell her I'm going to fight Zami!" Rune shouted at Turu as he got up, knocking Turu to the ground. I shouldn't have loosend my grip. Turu though to himself as he ran after Rune and jumped onto his back. Turu climbed up onto Rune's head and covered Rune's eyes. "LET GO TURU!" Rune said grabing onto on of Turu's ears. "You let go first, I only have two ears you know. If you rip that off I can't grow another one back!"
"I think he's exagerating a bit, don't you?" Sky said clamly "Yep" ZuuZuu replied.
Rune kept tugging at Turu's ear an to his delight Turu let go, but before Rune could do anything Turu grabed onto Rune's hair "If this hurts as much as it does when someone pulls my tail, you'll stop." he said grining.

Rune gritted his teeth and he started dragging his legs, with Turu latched onto his leg. "Let...go...Turu..." he breathed angirly as he walked. Turu shook his head and looked up at him. "No, Rune! I won't!" he said stern and determined. Rune kept walking though, feeling just as determined as Turu was. If I keep going...maybe Turu will tell me why they want ZuuZuu... Rune thought to himself. "STOP RUNE!!" Turu shouted at the top of his lungs, and with all his might, Turu tugged at Rune's leg, and dug his own legs into the ground as best he could. The result...not good.
Rune had suddenly and unwillingly came to halt because of Turu, and he ended up falling face flat onto the ground. Turu loosened his grip a little bit on Rune's legs - not all the way though, because, knowing Rune, if Turu had let go totally, the swordsman probably would have gotten up and start running.
Once Rune managed to sit up straight, he found his face was covered in dirt and mud, and spat a mouth full of dirt out which landed on Turu's face. Turu winced as it hit his face and wiped it off in disgust. "You don't have to tell me, but at least tell ZuuZuu." Rune said flatly. "Or I swear I will go to Zami."

Turu jolted foward "No you can't! Rune don't do it!" he grabed onto Rune's leg and dug his feet into the ground. "I'm not going to let you throw your life away! You'll be killed!" he paused "Going to face Zami is like suicide! He dosen't like humans, you'll be dead in a dew seconds! I refuse to let you face him! There is no way I'm letting you go!" he dug his claws deper into the ground and tighted his grib on Rune's leg.(O.O.C. Stupid pitas, never posted my last entry. Grrr making me have to rewrite it, and now it's not as good.)

Rune backed up a little bit away from Turu, his facial expression showing some major disapproval. Sky grinned, looking qutie the opposite of Rune. And ZuuZuu stood there, clueless of what to say. After a long, uncomfortable silence, Rune straightened, and turned on his heel. "Well fine, Turu. Turu looked akwardly at the ground "Um...well-" "Turu, don't you even think of telling them." Sky growed galreing at Turu. Rune payed no attention to what Sky was saying "Turu, just say it" he said in an agravated voice. Sky growed. "I can't...I just can't..." Sky grunted satisfyed with Turu answer as smoke rose from his nostrils. Turu was kicking his foot back and forth on the ground slowly, his eyes never leaving sight of the ground. "...All I can say is that ZuuZuu's gifted. I can't say anymore because I don't want Sky to get mad at me and he's my only other friend...Other then you ZuuZuu and you Rune...I can't blame him for doing his job." Rune shot a glare at Sky, and the dragon just rolled his eyes and looked back over at Turu. ZuuZuu shifted her weight on her other leg awkwardly, feeling uneasy with the sudden silence that took over the four. After a moments worth of thinking, however, Rune looked at Turu. "Tell us why Zami wanted ZuuZuu!" he paused and glanced over at ZuuZuu, "And if you don't want to tell me...fine, but you should tell her...it's putting her in danger and...you should let her know why she's wanted by them...don't you think?" he said and looked Turu straight in the eyes. Sky just snorted. "Turu! Don't listen to that human!!"

Rune puffed his cheeks out angirly. "Think I care?" he said angirly. "I don't give a damn if I die." he mutterted as he got up. "I don't have anything worth living for anyways..." Turu stared at him with wide eyes for as he got up. "Rune...why would you say th-" Turu stopped as he watched the swordsman slowly walked off towards the castle. "Rune! Don't!!" Turu shouted and chased after him. Rune kept walking however and Turu followed him, trying to persuade him to stop, but he wouldn't listen. And he wouldn't stop walking. That is, until Sky landed right in front of him, making Rune stop. He would have kept walking if ZuuZuu wasn't with Sky. But she was, and so he stayed put. "...Z-ZuuZuu?" Rune asked, "Are you okay?! What'd they want with you?!"

Rune heard a faint, soft voice near him. And then a tapping on his shoulder. Rune stirred a little bit, and slowly his eyes opened. ZuuZuu looked down "What's going on? What happened?" she said sounding grumpy. She wanted to know what was going on and Sky wasn't saying a thing. "WELL?" Sky glanced over his shoulder and looked at her "The demon died, that's all that's happened." he said dully.Turu walked over to Rune and sat down "It wont be long before, some troups come, but they'll most likely run off..." he said talking to himself "Why'd Korosu do that...and why does my special attack have to be poisonious." He gently tapped Rune on the shoulder "Hey Rune, you need to wake up now." the monsters voice was soft and he seemed upset.

Korosu just smiled and laughed weakly. "I know..." she said, and slowly her face grew pale. Turu's eyes widened. "K-Korosu...!? Why?!" Korosu's expression stayed the same. "I deserve to die...and...do you think I'd actually be able to live like this?" she asked, looking at her arm and then her wing. Turu frowned. Korosu fell to her knees "I-I lost...how could I loose to Doku and that-that human..." she turned to Turu "Doku, just kill me...I lost, I failed and-" "So you lost, I can't just kill you! You're not a bad demon, you never were..." Korosu got up and walked over to Turu and bent down "DOKU! This is an order from your general! I demand that you kill me!" Turu shook his head "N-no! I couldn't. And I don't work for Zami anymore, so I do not take orders from you!" Korosu looked him in the eyes "Well even when you did, you never took orders from me...But please just kill me...Your teeth are covered in your saliva right?" Turu tiled his head "Wha?" and then he backed up "N-No! You can't!" Korosu grabed Turu and cut her finger on one of his fangs "It is done." Turu shook his head "Are you insane! That-that's poison, you're not going to last long without an antidote!" his voice shaking (his drool is poisonous).

"Why you!" Korosu yelled at Turu and got ready unleash the last of her weapons she was carrying with her. A sword. Just a plain, oridnary sword that she wasn't really too fond of using. She hardly ever had to resort to using it...Korosu whipped out her sword and screamed at Turu again. "I'll kill you! I swear I'll kill you and your human friends!!" Turu rolled his eyes, "Korosu, why don't you just give up? You know you can't win..." These words seemed to go in one ear and out the other to Korosu as she came flying towards Turu.
Just as Korosu was about to fly straight over and past Rune, the swordsman did something rather unexpected. Rune forced himself to his knees, his body shaking harshly, and, with every ounce of strength he had left, grabbed one of his swords and held it up, just as Korosu flew past him. Her left was wing was now gone, and with that, Rune mumbled in a whispy voice; "Get 'er Turu....k-kill her..." and then he fainted.

Turu fell to the ground gasping for breath, Korosu fell to her knees screaming in pain. "How-how dare you!" she screamed at Turu. He got up slowly rubbing his neck and breathing heavily "It's your falut, I told you to let go Korosu. Shouldn't you have learnt that I do defend myself when I absolutly need to." she just galred at him and got up. "I'll kill you for what you've done to me Doku." she gritted her teath and took out a large trowing sword like thing (ummm...yeah wish I knew the name of the thing, but I don't so yeah....) and threw it at Turu. The weapon flew over Turu's head and he looked up "Well I guess being short isn't such a bad thing" (he's about 2 foot 11 inches) he smiled as the thing turned in midair and started flying back at him. Korosu just gritted her teeth and shook her head. "You think I'll actually let you go?! Just like that?!" she shouted and her shrill laugh filled the air. Turu frowned. "Korosu...I'll give you one more chance." he said sternly, "Let me go or...or you'll have to die." Korosu just smiled and squeezed tighther. "Then go ahead! Kill me! I'd like to see you try!" she said, becoming over-confident that she'd win this fight (well, she already was overconfident, but even more now...). Rune was laying face down on the ground, feeling more weak then he ever had in his life, and in tears. T-turu's stronger then me. It's not fair...I want to be the one to kill her. I don't care if Turu says she had nothing to do with my home... he thought to himself, still being his stubborn self.
At the same time, Turu gasped for breath, and when he was nearly out of breath, he knew she wouldn't be letting him go anytime soon. He gritted his teeth, and in one swipe, he lifted his claws up and cut her arm off. He fell down onto the ground along with her arm, and Korosu let out a wail.

Turu looked at Rune "Rune she really didn't have anything to do with what happend to your village...just don't worry about it. It might take you a while to move though, your body probably isn't used to being frozen like that." he turned around and faced Korosu. Korosu glared at him "Y-you...STOP MAKING ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL!" she screamed at him charging. Turu jumped back, but was grabed by the neck. Korosu griped Turu's neck tighter "How...HOW COULD YOU ALWAYS DEFEAT ME!?" she was screaming at him "Every time I was to face you, you Doku would defeat me in battle...I AM A GENERAL AND THE BODYGAURD OF ZAMI! You were only a high commander...HOW COULD YOU BEAT ME?!" Korosu glared at Turu and Turu just smiled back at her. Maybe dealing with the Demon Korosu wouldn't be too big a deal afterall. Korosu and Turu were paying too much attention to each other, not bothering with Rune at all. Rune's body had gone back to the way it was - tightened with pain. He shut his eyes again, and forced himself not to scream or shout. And he noticed, from what he was hearing, Turu wasn't in any kind of pain. It didn't sound like it anyways. Why?! Isn't Turu feeling the same as me? I can hardly even talk... he thought to himself as sweat ran down his forehead. Rune opened one of his eyes and looked up at Korosu. She actually was starting to look a little tired, but she was doing a rather good job covering that up.
Not after too long, Turu had been right. Korosu didn't have the strength to hold both Turu and Rune in place and Turu dropped to the ground. Rune felt his body be released as well and he collapsed onto the ground. "Ugh..." Rune moaned and tried to get up, but failed. D-dammit...I-I can't get up... he looked over at Turu to see how he was doing.
Turu had gotten up to his feet, and turned to Korosu. "I knew you wouldn't be able to hold me for long." he said, satisfied and walked over to Rune. Rune looked up at Turu. "I-I wanna k-kill her. N-not you." Rune said shakily and tried to get up again. He was nearly in tears when he fell back down. I'm weak...I'm weak...all that training...for nothing. This is what I trained for. To get revenge for my family...but I can't...

Turu froze, his legs were becoming stiff before he lost all control of his body he pushed his hands agaisnt the ground flring off the ground. He was frozen in the air, not to high off it, but he was about as high up as Korosu was tall. "How long can you hold me up here Korosu?" Turu snickered and stuck out his tongue. Korosu hand was heavy, Turu was smarter then she remembered "You can't move, Rune and move and I can't move...It all depends now on who gets tired first...or of course who can think of something to get rid of the other, before your opponet thinks of one first." When Korosu lowered her hand slightly, Rune felt all the pain from his arms evaporate. He would have been relieved if the same thing had happened to the rest of his body. Turu had made a very good point to Korosu, and though she tried not show it, she somewhat felt Turu was right. She glared at him, "I will not be defeated by you or the human!" she said angirly. Turu took another step forward. "And I will win, I assure you." "Why isn't Turu doing anything?" ZuuZuu said worried. Sky shook his head "I don't know...he knows Korosu's moves very well though, since he used to work with her...maybe he can't do anything." Sky's voice was stern as he spoke to ZuuZuu "We'll just have to wait."Turu gritted his teath "Release him Korosu. Your fight is with me and not him!" his fists clentched tighter "We have a little score to settle!" Korosu lowered her hand just a bit, ableing Rune to move his arms "We will settle out score Doku, but you still deserve to suffer for giving me this scar." she said pointing at he hand where a scar was. "You're still upset about that? ...And you wont get time to hurt anyone Korosu!" he said taking a few steps forward "If you try to stop me from attacking you, I'll be stuck in this spot and you wont be able to do a thing as well since you have Rune locked in place. Then again you could let him go and stop me from moving, but then you'd have him to deal with. Or you could kept him from moving and have me to deal with...Or you could just face us both, which ever way, you can't win."

Korosu's laugh ecohed in Rune's ears. Why couldn't he move?! His teeth were gritted and after a minute of being frozen, he suddenly felt a very distinct pain ring through his entire body. He let out a cry and shut his eyes tight. What's happening to me...what's she doing?! Seeing Rune in pain just made Korosu laugh even more, and Turu who was standing aways behind Rune kept on speaking to Korosu, asking her to stop, but he was failing miserably. Meanwhile, out in the distance Sky and ZuuZuu watched over the battle. ZuuZuu was looking extremley worried. "What's wrong with Rune!?" she asked Sky frantically, "Why isn't Turu doing anything?!"

Turu was shocked at Rune, who was charging at Korosu "RUNE DON'T!" he yelled out. Korosu grined "Doku always had the most idiotic of friends" she laughed and held out one of her hands. Rune stoped in his tracks, he couldn't move "What's going on?!" he yelled. "Korosu, let him go, he didn't do anything to you. Leave him out of this, general." Turu said harshly to Korosu. She just continued to smile "Doku it's ture that I don't want anything to do with this human, but what better way to make you suffer then to watch your firend die." she laughed mocking him.(O.O.C. Turu stood up slowly rubbing his head "Uh...that hurt..." "T-turu...? What's happening?!" Rune shouted at him. Turu turned and looked at Rune "It's Korosu...." Turu said pointing at someone flying down towards them. Korosu looked like a normal human with the exception that she was a demon and had bat-like wings on her back "Out of the way you fools!" she screamed at the monsters below. They all cleared the way without any hessitating. She landed in front of Turu and Rune "Rune meet General Korosu" he said growling. She laughed "Doku you haven't changed a bit, still the same stubborn fool you always were.""Hop on!" Sky yelled at ZuuZuu "Who are you she said looking in his eyes "You don't seem bad..." Sky grabed her with his tail and placed her on his back "I am a friend of Turu, and we need to get out of here." He flew out through the hole that Turu made when Korosu had blown him out and stayed in the air above the battle ground, out of sight, but close enough to watch.

Rune had been able to take down quite a few of the monsters with one swing. He snorted as he sliced one of the monsters. "I thought you were supposed to be tough!!" he shouted angirly as the monster fell to the ground and Turu made his way to the next one. Eventually, Rune started to realize that once one monster had fallen another had come to take it's place. How many are there...?! he thought to himself as he fought. After more fighting, Rune had only around 10 or 15 enemies left. But just then Turu had come flying through the castle wall, landing on top of one of the monsters behind Rune.
Rune whirled around, and stared at Turu (not for long though, because a monster came and attacked him). "T-turu...?" he managed to say. "What's happening?!" he shouted.

Sky burst into the castle, his claws scratching agaisnt the cold floor. They were in a one way passage (you can go forward or back) and suddenly monster started sworming around them. Sky wrapped his tail aroud Turu "Go get the girl, I'll take care of the gaurds." he said as he launched Turu through the passage. When Turu landed he winced with pain, his legs still hurt, but he had a job to do. He slowly crept forward and noticed something fimilair, a yellow thing. Him...he's the one who beat me up...I'm going to use my full strength on him and take him down, before he knows what hit him! he thought to himself. He rushed out killing the monster in one hit and he turned to the cage "ZuuZuu" ZuuZuu looked at him "Turu? I thought-" "We don't have time now" he said cutting her off as he broke the lock and grabed her wrist runing back towards where Sky was fighting.A laugh was heard though the passage "Very well done Doku, you managed to kill one of the weakest members of my gang!" Turu stopped "ZAMI!" he yelled and then continued runing "Turu aren't you hurt?" Turu shook his head "Even if I am I need to get you out of here." Zami's voice was head again "You can't run Doku, I'm sure you remember Korosu..." his voice echoed though the whole castle as he laughed. Turu lost his grip on ZuuZuu as he flew though the wall of the castle landing on the battle field below where Rune was fighting. Korosu had knocked him though...General Korosu. She was one of the top members of Zami and the only demon of the gang. Sky noticed the noise and finished off the gaurds he was fighting. "Girl!" he called to ZuuZuu "Hop on!"

Rune had marched off, feeling angry and excitment at the same time. He was pissed because of a very obvious reason - the monsters he was about to face had killed everything he had...and excited because he'd finally get revenge for the fallen peoples of his village. And so he stomped over to the entrance of the castle, right when something flew straight past his head. He immidiatley covered his head with his hands, but when he looked up, he found it was only Sky and Turu. "M-make sure you leave ALL the monsters to me!!!" Rune screamed at them, not caring the slightest if it gave his position away. "AND I MEAN ALL OF THEM!!" He watched them fly off to the castle, but he was forced to stop when he felt something strange. They were here. Rune stood still. Trying to sneak up on me, eh? he smiled, Well, that won't work on me! he thought to himself and pulled out two swords. It was rare that he ever used both of them. But he felt it was necessary for this occassion. The monsters had seen him pull out his swords, and so they all came attacking him at the same time, and as they approached, Rune got in a low stance with his swords (like in the picture of him), ready to fight.

Rune you better be careful...those monsters are stronger then you think... Turu thought to him self as he slowly walked over to Sky with a little bit of stumbling. "Ok Sky let's go" he said climbing onto Sky'd back. Sky nodded and stretched out his wings and flew up into the air. He zoomed past the spot where Rune was and towards the broken down castle (ok so it's a castle...couldn't think of anything else). "It's a good thing the human is keeping those monsters bussy or we'd be attack right about now. Turu when we get inside your going to need to fight got that. If only it would be simpler, but there are bound to be gaurds in there as well." Turu nodded in agreement "Zami will get what he deserves!" he shouted agaisnt the wind that was blowing in his face. "...can I go ahead...?" Rune asked, looking in the direction the monsters and ZuuZuu where supposed to be. Sky didn't seem to have heard him, and Turu was still adjusting to standing and walking. Sky snorted "You think you could just take them all on?" Rune replied with a simple "yes" "Revenge is a strong force, but I doubt you'll last long agaisnt all of them. Do you even know how many of them there are? I'm guessing no." Turu perked his ears up "Just let him go Sky...Rune be cafeful..." Sky shook his head "I hope you know what your doing...the both of you."ZuuZuu sat in the cage "Is your boss here yet?!" she was getting impatient sitting there the whole time. "WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY!" the yellow fured monster screamed at her. She wouldn't stop talking ever since he put her in the cage. "I can't take anymore of you idiotic babling!" "Well Sorry!" ZuuZuu said sarcastily sticking out her tongue at it.
Sky lifted his tail and wraped it around Turu trowing him back agaisnt a tree. Turu dug his claws into the bark of the tree, witch broke of and he fell to the ground. He slowly forced himself to get up "What...did you do that for?" he questioned. "Turu if you can't even walk there's no point of you coming. You wont be any help, so you have two choices. Rune kept his face straight as Turu burst into tears. So much information was coming to him in such a small amount of time...Turu had once been part of the ones who destroyed everything he had and loved. And ZuuZuu. ZuuZuu was even more valuable then the item in his village? I woner why she's so important...? She seems pretty normal to me... he thought to himself. Turu continued to cry. And Turu had killed his own master. Who'd have guessed that little Turu was once a blood thirsty- he stopped that thought when Sky stopped. "Why'd you stop?" Rune asked. Sky looked back at them. "We're alomst there." he whispered hoarsely. Then the dragon looked at Turu. "Shut up, or they'll hear us!" he hissed. Rune looked at Turu, who was trying his aboslutley hardest to stop crying, and then he looked at Sky and folded his arms. "So...we're just going to go in there without a plan?" Sky looked at him blankly. "Well...uh..." he paused, and then quickly turned his blank look into an angry one. "Oh, and I suppose you have a plan?!" Rune nodded. "Acutally, I do." he said, "It's simple. I take out all the monsters and...umm...you two get ZuuZuu out of there."

Turu looked down "A reason...They-they did..." Sky looked at Turu out of the corner of his eye "Just tell him, he'll need to know sooner or later...or he'll probably find out, so just tell him now Doku." Turu flintched "I SAID NOT TO CALL ME THAT!" Turu yelled at Sky "It's just a foolish nickname-" "If it's just a foolish nickname then why do you care?" Sky said grining. "It does matter, so just don't call me that..." he turned his attention back to Rune "Well, I guess I should start listening to Sky, since he was right about the Zami gang...the reason they attack your-your village...is.......because...you probably didn't know this at the age you were when it was attacked. Your village had something of value...I don't quite remember what it was called, but that's the reason and they also thought it be fun to...to do it..."Before Rune could say a thing Sky started to talk "You see human, Do-Turu was a power hungry freak. The smaller and weaker the monster looks, usually means the more dangerous, Demons on the other hand are hard to tell. So this little guy here joined and in a matter of days became a high commander in the gang, the amout of blood he spilled was quite incridible." Turu looked down, and stayed quiet. "I thought you said you never killed anyone." Rune spoke, Turu refused to say a thing so Sky spoke up
"I think he means about his new life. Actually, no I think he just says that so he doesn't go off the deep end again. He's ruthless when he fights, of course he doesn't fight this way around the girl" he paused "I think they should have chosen another one to protect the girl-" "N-no!" Turu's voice was shaking "I-I can handle it!" he shook his head. Sky noticed the confused look on Rune's face and decided to explain "The girl ZuuZuu is very vauble, more then the thing the Zami gang was after in your village. Turu was sent to protect her, but seeing as how he was beaten I don't think I should have recomended him for the job-" "It's not a job she's my-my friend!" Turu said with tears in the bottom of his eyes. Sky laughed "Fine, I haven't seen you cry for a long time Turu, not since your master died. The day your power got the better of you and you couldn't control what you were doing, the day you killed your master-" "SHUT UP!" Turu scremed more tears filling his eyes.

Rune would have been embarassed about the way he had acted earlier (though he would try his hardest not to show it), but his mind was elsewhere. Turu was part of that gang of monsters? Turu had been part of a group of monsters that terroized and killed people for fun. Rune stayed silent the whole way, until finally he looked at Turu, his eyes sad. "Turu..." he started, and Turu looked over his shoulder back at Rune. "What?" he asked. Rune swallowed. "Do you know why they attacked my home? ...Did they even have a reason?" he asked quitely.

"Believe me, Rune...if I could have done something I would have..." he said. Rune ignored him and looked up, then marched over to them. "FINE! I'll come with you! Turu heart pounded "Your village..." he shook his head "I-didn't attack your village...I really didn't...and-and Sky here was never was a member of the Zami...he was always telling me that I never should have joined, but I was foolish and I craved power and so I became one of the high commanders in the Zami gang...17 years ago, when they told me that we were going to attack a village, I-I betrayed them and tried to stop them, but-but I could't match all of those monsters...so in the end I had to retreat...and the name Doku...it-it means poison...because my main attacks use poison..." his voice was slow and sad "Rune, I'm sorry for what they did to you and your village..."//ZuuZuu @ Sunday, November 9, 2003, 02:44 p.m.//
Rune had started to turn away, wanting to get away from Turu and Sky, but he had stopped when Sky had called Turu 'Doku'. He froze, his back facing them, and listened. "Doku...I mean Turu you betrayd them remember, you were one of their top fighters, until of course you refused to destroy that village and you left. You know very well they do not take well to betrayers." Sky had said. Why did the words Doku and Zami sound familiar...? Rune looked down at the ground, "How long ago was that?" Turu and Sky stopped arguing and looked over at him. "What?" Turu asked, a blank expression on his face. Rune swallowed. "What village are you talking about? When did they attack it?" he asked quietley. Turu thought for a moment, but before he could answer, Sky did. "It was 17 years ago." he said.
Rune felt his entire body go cold and stiff. 17 years ago was when his village was demolished. 17 years ago a group of monsters attacked and he was left alone...that was were he heard the name Doku. The monsters had been yelling that name...
He let his hand that was against the cave wall drop to his side to the hilt of his sword. He had found it - the monsters that took everything he knew away from him...he found them. After searching and training for so many years...he'd finally be able to accomplish his goal. Revenge.

Turu nodded "I was the one who asked you to help me find ZuuZuu and I don't want you to get hurt, ok."Sky made a disguseted face "Turu it is clear that the human isn't coming, so we are leaving NOW!" Sky screamed as he turned to go. "No Sky, we can't leave Rune-" "By the time this stupid human makes up his mind the girl will be dead already. You know this very well Turu. "Doku...I mean Turu you betrayd them remember, you were one of their top fighters, until of course you refused to destroy that village and you left. You know very well they do not take well to betrayers." Sky grined.

Rune stood there silent for a while, pretending to think. "Hmm..." he paused, "No." he finished shortly and bitterly. And with that said, he turned on his heel, put his hand back against the cave wall and started walking deeper into the cave. Sky started to turn, wanting to leave, but Turu stopped him again. "No. Wait Sky!" Turu said, "Rune, stop! Just listen to me and come with us!" he urged. Rune stopped again, getting annoyed. "I said "no"!" he snapped. "I know what I'm doing..." he mutterted, and both Turu and Sky heard this. Sky snorted, and Turu sighed. "Rune...you're being stubborn-" Rune cut him off. "You're still here?!" he shouted, "I thought you didn't like me! I thought you said I was rude and - and...uh..." he paused, "...why do you care what happens to me, anyway you filthy little monster!?"

"Rune, you're going the wrong way you know." the voice had said, which made Rune know right away that it was indeed Turu. But he wasn't alone. Rune squinted his eyes, hoping he'd be able to see a glimpse of whoever, or whatever, Turu was with. But he couldn't see a thing, he could only listen. Sky had spoken to him - and, quite rudlely to him, which made Rune very upset. And, Turu had said, "Well it seems that most likely you Sky and you Rune would get along well, since the two of you are rude and arrogent." Which made Rune even angerier. Rune gritted his teeth and clenched his hands into fists. "I am not going the wrong way! And-and how would you know anyways?! ...AND I think you are the rude one at the moment, Turu!!" he shouted, "And I will be taking my own way into this cave, and I will be the one to find ZuuZuu!" he paused, "And besides...is 'Sky' a monster too?" he asked, but did not wait for an answer, "I refuse to work with you two."

Rune entered the cave, one of shis hand on the hilt of his sword. It was extremley dark in this cave, and so he had his other out beside him running against the cave wall. Only a few minutes later however, he heard something from behind him. He stopped walking, whirled around as fast as he possibly could and as he did so got his sword out. But he was surprised at what he heard. "Rune. It's me." the voice said. Rune recogzined it at one, and raised an eyebrow. Turu sat there as Rune walked off "What a grump...how can I trust him to save ZuuZuu, no I think it's more like why do I trust him?" Turu wispered to himself "how can I trust such a human....." he trailed off in thought. "Yes I think that is a good question Turu." a strange voice floated through the air. Turu turned his head "Come out Sky" he said quietly as a monster appeared in the opening "Turu. You shouldn't trust such a human to save ZuuZuu i-" "Sky I can't walk...I had no other choice-" Turu said cutting him off and was cut of by Sky shortly after "You were getting to attached to the girl anyways" Sky shifted his gaze so he was staring in Turu's eyes "You know that you are not to get attached to ones you are to protect."Turu tried to stand up, but failed once again "Could you help me here?" he said turning his head towards Sky. "You should have been able to withstand that monster...You've become weak Turu, maybe you shouldn't have been assigned to protect the girl." "WHAT! NO NEVER!" Turu shouted as he got up and fell back down again. Sky flew over to Turu "Get on, I'll take you to the girl"(I guess he's like a dragon). Turu slowly climbed onto Sky's back "Find Rune first" "What you want me to find that human first...I don't agree with you, but I shall take you to him."
ZuuZuu sat locked up in a cage "Hey let me out, you freaks!" she yelled clinging onto the bars. The blur monster stoped infront of the cage, without him moving so fast he seemed small and harmless with his yellow fur "Sorry missy, but like I said my master wants to see you-" "WELL THEN! WHERE IS HE???" ZuuZuu screamed inturupting the monster. It glare at her "He'll be here soon..."

Rune rolled his eyes at Turu and then turned around so his back was facing Turu. "Fine." he said shortly and harshly and made his way in the direction ZuuZuu and the unknown monster had run off to. Damn it. Why is it everytime I meet someone I...I care about...they get taken away from me! He had his teeth gritted as he marched through the forest. Eventually, Rune had come across a cave. A cave? ...well, that sounds like a place a monster would live... he thought to himself as he examined it. There were some huge footprints leading into the cave, which made Rune immidiately think this was where they were. Slowly and quietley, he went into the cave, not wanting to let the monster hear him.

Turu glared at Rune "And you care about ZuuZuu" he said finsihing Rune's sentance "Well then Rune...I guess you should get going, hurry up and find ZuuZuu. Since it's the only way you can help, I can't move...I can't even crawl, so just find her before she gets hurt" Turu paused "...and if she's hurt in anyway Rune, you'll have me to deal with. Got that!" his eyes glowing as he spoke, how could he have allowed some other monster beat him up and run of with ZuuZuu? Rune sighed and stood up straight. He turned his back from Turu, and after a short pause, he nodded to himself. "Okay." he said slowly, "...I'll help you." he said quietly. He turned back around and took a few steps in front of Turu. "Which way did it go?" he asked. Turu pointed in the direction he had seen the monster and ZuuZuu go. Rune looked in the direction, and then back at Turu. "Alright." he was silent for a while, looking at Turu, "Do you think you'll acutally be able to walk? If you can't, I'm leaving you behind." he said shortly and folded his arms. "And...just for you to know..." he paused, "I don't care about monsters. And I don't care about you. But ZuuZuu does, and I..." he stopped, not wanting to continue. He was embarassed that he was about to admit he actually cared for a person other then himself.

Rune was screaming at Turu as he bugged a bit and slowly tried to get up. He failed miserably and groaned at he hit the ground "What happened?!" Rune said to him sounding aggravated. Turu rolled over onto him back, noticing part of Rune's cape missing "I thought you didn't care about monsters" he said pointing to Rune's cape "WHAT HAPPENED!?" Rune yelled at Turu shaking him a bit. Turu winced in pain "ok, ok...just don't shake me...when you got blown back...I-I...i saw something, this-some kind of blur, it was a monster...I'm sure of it" Turu clenched his side the bleeding had slowed down now "that-the creature it-it-it took ZuuZuu...I remember it saying that it's master wanted to see her...and well...I-I-I couldn't even protect her...this is exactly what happened to my master...I'm so weak I couldn't protect him and-and now I can't even protect ZuuZuu..." he spoke slowly gasping for breath every now and then. "Your master?" Rune said with interest, Turu looked at him, his eyelids heavy "I don't want to talk about it...r-Rune you have to help me find ZuuZuu..."(O.O.C. ^-^ lol ok)

"R-r-rune." Turu had somehow managed to say and collapsed onto the ground. Rune whirled around, right when Turu had fallen and kneeled down. "What happened?" Rune questioned, still sounding pretty calm. He glanced around, "...And where's ZuuZuu?" He asked, but Turu didn't move. Rune poked Turu in the side lightly, but Turu still didn't budge. He shook him a bit after a while, but it was the exact same result. He sighed, and looked at Turu a bit more closely. He was bleeding very badly...Rune tore off part of the end of his cape and wrapped it around Turu's wound(sp?) to stop the bleeding. Once he had finished, he sat there in silence, wondering what the hell had happened to Turu and where ZuuZuu was. And after only a mere 7 minutes, he was growing impatient. Rune's calm looking exterior left him, as he jumped up above Turu. "WHAT HAPPENED!?" Rune screamed, "...WAKE UP, DAMMIT!!"

ZuuZuu looked in astonishment "Wow, that's sad-" ZuuZuu said tears in the corners of her eyes "Hmph, he can't even tell the difference between a monster or a demon. Monsters and demons ahve noting in common, there is a huge difference!" Turu hissed intrupting ZuuZuu. "Turu, at lest try to be nice..." she said looking at him with a stern look on her face "SO Rune how old are you anyway?" she said changing her gaze from Turu to Rune. "22" Rune replied. "Wow that is so cool" ZuuZuu said stary eyed "I know someone who's 22!"They continued to walk through the forest Turu always glancing at Rune every minute or so. He really didn't like Rune, but he wasn't about to say why. Not to anyone. Do I keep too much inside? Maybe I need to talk about things instead of always keeping things bottled up inside myself. But my heart keeps telling me not to say a thing... Turu was lost in thought as he walked along side ZuuZuu. They continued walking deeper and deeper into the forest. *crack* Turu's ears perked up "Did you hear that?" he questioned. "Hear what?" Rune said calmly. "Didn't hear anything Turu" ZuuZuu replied. Turu shook his head "Maybe I'm hearing things...Nevermind" ZuuZuu looked at him "oh, ok"
I thought I heard something...I have way to much on my mind...What's wrong with me? Turu shook those thoughts out of his head as they walked on. ZuuZuu was talking to Rune about something, but Turu wasn't paying any attention at all to what it was. *crack* Turu's ears perked up once again Ok am I hearing things again because that sounded real to me???
A sudden crash jolted through the area. Rune had been knocked back further away, no where in sight. "I was right...I did hear something!" Turu shouted at the intruder who was running around like crazy. Turu couldn't keep his eyes on it because once he saw it, it moved to another place. A sharp pain was felt on the side of Turu and he fell to his knees. Holding onto his side as it blead "What a cheep shot...Fight fair and stop moving." ZuuZuu looked on in horror and drew her sword as the creature looked at her. It only a blur "You wont need that missy, my master would like to see you." it grined. Turu got up and charged at the blur only to get cut up some more. "TURU!" ZuuZuu cried. She tried to fend of the creature, but failed and was carried off to, somewhere...Turu lay there "ZUUZUU" he called out. He got up, he'd get Rune...Yes that was it he'd find where Rune had been knocked to and get him to help find ZuuZuu. He walked slowly stumbling as he walked to where he last saw Rune. A few minutes later he noticed a fimilar shadow "R-r-rune." he gasped, his voice wavy, he had been beaten badly mindyou and the blood loss was causing his head to spin as he colasped to the ground.

Rune looked down at ZuuZuu and frowned deeply. "...No. I won't tell you anything." he replied simply. ZuuZuu sighed and rolled her eyes. "Aww. C'mon!" she said and gave him a puppy-face. Rune just shook his head. "No." he said once again. ZuuZuu folded her arms. "Please?" she asked. Rune shook his head again. "No." he said yet again. It went on like that for at least five minutes, until finally, Rune gave in to ZuuZuu's constant nagging. "Fine. Fine I'll tell you a little bit...I guess..." he said. ZuuZuu's face lit up, and Rune heaved a large sigh. "When I was younger...about 5, I think...the village I lived in was attacked by a group of demons or monsters...I dunno. Not too much of a difference between them, I suppose." he paused for a while, "And so...everything was destroyed. And..." he sighed, "I was the only one who survived." he paused again, then continued, "Later on, I was taken in by a man...and he taught me about swords and how to use them...but he died when I was 14 by a demon." he looked down at the ground, starting to look a little upset, "And so after he died I left...alone and...and it's been like this ever since." he finished quietley.

ZuuZuu looked at Turu and poked in on the cheek lightly "Hey come on now Turu, don't be so grumpy." she giggled a bit. "Honestly, ZuuZuu. I don't like him and if I feel like being grumpy, then there's no changing my mind." Turu hissed. Turu turned his head slightly, glancing at ZuuZuu. "But...he...he..." Turu had no idea what to say. He looked back Rune who wiping the blood off his sword, and shuddered at the sight. "ZuuZuu..." ZuuZuu cut him off. "He's coming, Turu. So no complaining, alright?" Turu didn't say anything, he just nodded stiffly, and ZuuZuu turned to Rune. "Coming?" Rune nodded and put his sword in his sheath. Turu had walked beside ZuuZuu, trying to keep his distance from Rune, who was following behind them. ZuuZuu smiled "Sure" she said hugging Rune. Rune looked at her "Uh, could you not do that..." ZuuZuu let go of him and blushed "Sorry force of habbit." She looked over at Turu, who seemed to be feeling slightly better then before, he was sitting on the ground now looking at the ground. "Rune" she spoke up. "What?" he asked looking at her. "Just promise me that you wont pull off any more of your stunts infront of Turu." Rune hesitated (sp?). "Turu's srtong, but he's really, really soft. I don't think he likes blood...so just try to not kill anything infront of him." ZuuZuu said before Rune could reply.ZuuZuu walked over to Turu and bent down to his level "You ok?" Turu didn't move "Come on Turu, at least smile?" Turu still didn't move. "Turu Rune will be comeing with us ok?" Turu jumped up "WHAT!?" ZuuZuu was a bit taken back at his sudden outburst "Turu be nice he's-" Turu cut her off "HE-HE-HE....AHHHH!" he crossed his arms "I just don't like him." he said turning his head to the side. ZuuZuu looked at him "Turu...well he's coming anyways, weather you like it or not."

Rune planted the tip of his sword into the ground, and crossed his arms, and frowned deeply as ZuuZuu approached him. "If you're going to do things like that, I'd advise you don't do them around Turu. He get nightmears about something when things like this happen. Trust me on this I know from experence, I wish I knew what bothers him about these things..." she had said to him. Rune raised an eyebrow at her, and glanced over at Turu, who was looking greatly affected by Rune's action. He then looked back at ZuuZuu, expecting her to say more, but she was looking down at the ground, saying nothing. Rune sighed and rolled his eyes, which made ZuuZuu look back up. "...Really now...why did you do that??" she asked, looking at the monster with a disgusted face. Rune cold eyes softened slightly, and he looked away. "It's really none of your bussiness." he said. ZuuZuu opened her mouth, but Rune added, "But if you honestly must know something..." he started, and paused for a very long while, "...It's because..." he shook his head. "Nevermind."
ZuuZuu shook her head, "No! Tell me!" Rune gritted his teeth and turned back around. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out. ZuuZuu folded her arms. "Why can't you tell me?" she asked him. The warm look Rune had in his eyes only minutes earlier, vanished completley. "Because it's...it's in the past." he paused, "It's not important." he finished shortly. ZuuZuu raised her eyebrows. "Well, it seems to be important to you." Rune's bottom lip quivered slightly, and he looked very angry. "Shut up!!" ZuuZuu froze, and Rune slowly started to relax.
Many minutes of silence passed over Turu, ZuuZuu and Rune, and finally Rune spoke up. "I...I want to come with you." he said quietly. ZuuZuu looked at him. "What?" she asked. "...I want to come with you." he said, sligtly louder this time.

"I think we should go now..." ZuuZuu said, and her and Turu both started to walk off. Rune stayed put however, with his arms folded, and narrow eyes. It looks like I underestimated these two... he thought to himself, watching ZuuZuu and Turu. He took a few steps forward so he was only a few inches away from the fallen monster. "Never kill...?" he said bitterly looking at Turu. And, just then, the whipped out his sword and when ZuuZuu and Turu had turned they saw Rune, the blade of his sword bloody, and the monster, dead. ZuuZuu nodded "Yeah, wouldn't want you to have to face that monster again." she smiled. Turu grined back at her "And I still live up to my record!" ZuuZuu replied with a simple "yup" "Record?" came Rune's voice. Turu turned to him "My record is that I've never killed a thing in my life, and I plan on living up to that record for the rest of it." Turu said a serious look on his face. The monster groaned and moved a bit. Rune wathced Turu and the monster fight, as ZuuZuu continued to cheer Turu on nonstop. Rune glanced over at ZuuZuu, he wanted to tell her to shut up - but he didn't, as he looked back at Turu and the monster. The monster he was fighting was twice as big as Turu, yet it seemed to be an even match. Turu's strength was incredible, as much as Rune hated to admit. He looked back over at ZuuZuu, and this time, he did say something to her, but it wasn't his wishful 'Shut Up'. "Are you sure you're little p-" he stopped himself, he was about to say 'pet', but he could already guess she'd get upset if he called him that, "Turu," he corrected himself, "Can handle this...?" he asked, "...Because if it were me fighting, that monster would be dead already." he said, sounding very confident. But just as he said that, there was a thud, and there was the monster, laying on the ground, and Turu standing by near the body.
Rune froze. Wh...what...just happened...?! ZuuZuu ignored Rune and ran over to Turu, grinning, and threw her arms around him. "Good job, Turu!" she said, hugging him tightly. Rune stood there, in shock. How...? I didn't even see what happened... Turu looked at ZuuZuu, "Hey, I think we should get out of here, before he wakes up..." the monster suggested.

ZuuZuu looked up "Not you again" she said as she stared at the monster who was looking down at her. She grabed her dented sword and threw it up in the air. The monster laughed "HA! You missed, you foolish girl!" the monster continued to laugh as the sword fell down cutting his cheek, ZuuZuu grabing the hilt as it came into her reach. The monster stumbled back "Why you!" it screamed as it charged at her. Turu jumped in the way kicking the monster to the side. The monster crashed into a tree and started to laugh "Foolish monster, why didn't you kill me when we first met?" he continued to laugh. Turu looked down ashamed "I-I have a thing about killing others ok....Now-now just shut up and get out of here!" he yelled pointing to a part of the forest."Turu, you are such a fool if you think that I'll just leave!" the monster mocked. It charged at Turu and they locked hands trying to pushed each other back. "Come on Turu! You can do it!" ZuuZuu shouted "You're way stronger then that monster! It doesn't matter if he's way bigger then you are, you can still beat him!" Rune glared at the monster thinking...

Rune raised both his eyebrows at Turu, when the monster had whispered to him, "Trust me you do not want to make her mad. She has a really bad temper." Rune looked back over at ZuuZuu who was stuffing the last of her things into her pack that carried all her belongings, while doing so, she was mumbling to herself that nothing was wrong with her sword. Rune folded his arms and smiled. He didn't like to think it, but...this girl, ZuuZuu...she reminded him of...well, himself. She was confident in her abilities, and she really did have a bad temper. Though, she was much more talkative then he ever was, and probably ever will be. Rune looked down at his feet, turning away from Turu, who was looking at him a bit oddly. After ZuuZuu had finished packing, she got up and went over to Turu. "I thought you said you were leaving." she said, still seeming to be upset about Rune and his comments on her sword. Rune turned around, "I -" but he stopped when he spotted a giant figure behind ZuuZuu. "Behind you!" he shouted, looking at the huge monster behind her and Turu, he then pulled out his sword and went into his fighting stance. This one should let me see how good you really are with that sword of yours, kid. he thought to himself.

"My sword is just fine! I just need to get rid of the dent!" ZuuZuu shouted Who does this guy think he is? My sword is perfect, except for that dent. My sword doesn't need any sharpening! "My sword does not need any shapening thank you very much!" she said pointing at Rune. Turu walked over to Rune and wispered to him "Trust me you do not want to make her mad. She has a really bad temper." ZuuZuu sat down her arms crossed "There's nothing wrong with my sword. Rune stayed still for a moment, listening to Turu and ZuuZuu's reactions, which, he found quite amusing. I might have to come see the tournament...just to see these two make fools of themselves. He glanced over his shoulder at the two, and that's when he spotted ZuuZuu's sword laying on the ground. Curious to see her weapon up close, he decided to wait a bit before he was off. He walked over to her sword swiftly, and picked it up before ZuuZuu or Turu could even notice. He pulled it out of it's sheath(sp?), and looked at it closely. The blade wasn't too sharp, and it still had a dent in it from Turu's claws. "Your blade is dull." he pointed out. ZuuZuu heard him, and jumped up to her feet, "Hey! I never gave you permission to touch tha-" Rune cut her off. "I don't need your permission." he said bitterly and looked back at her sword. "If I were you, I'd sharpen it...or get a new sword. In the state it's in now, it won't do too much damage to anything." he said, and slid it back into it's sheath.
Why...why am I even bothering to give this kid advice!? Rune thought to himself angirly and shoved the sword back to ZuuZuu. He cleared his throat and quickly turned back around, feeling ashamed of himself. I shouldn't be wasting my time like this... but, in the back of his mind, he felt as though he was enjoying talking to her for some very odd reason.

ZuuZuu closed her eyes and crossed her arms "Hmph, We'll make it there no problem!" she protested. Turu nodded "If ZuuZuu says we can make it there, we'll make it there!" Turu said as he started to clean up. Rune is right though, we'll need to do a lot of training. And I thought he didn't like monsters, so why did he say that he might see us there at the tournament? Rune snorted a little bit at ZuuZuu's last remark. Both Turu and ZuuZuu looked up, ZuuZuu glaring at him a bit. "And what was that for?!" she demanded. Rune shrugged, a small smile would have been visible if his mouth wasn't covered by his bowl of soup, which he had right in front of his face, gulping down the soup. "Nothing..." he said and put the now-empty bowl down. "It's just..." he shook his head. "Nevermind." He stood up, and attacthed his sword back to his belt (he had it in his lap while he was eating). "I need to get going." he said and started to turn, but ZuuZuu stopped him. "Why don't you think we can't make it to the tournament?" she asked, her arms crossed. Rune didn't move, and he said, "I never said that." he paused, "But you're going to need alot of training..." he turned around so his back was facing them. "We're not training for anything really." Turu had responded. ZuuZuu smiled "We're just training for fun and all, also if me and Turu become really strong, we plan on entring the Kaibutsu Tournament!" she said with excitement in her voice. Turu nodded "It would take a lot of training to get into the Kaibutsu Tournament though...You think we'll beable to make there, I mean everyone there is really strong." Rune was a surprised at ZuuZuu's outburst, but he tried his hardest not to show it, and, he succeeded very well in doing so. Turu explained what they were doing in the forest, and right when he finished, ZuuZuu had announced breakfast was ready. They all sat down (Rune reluctant to sit with them at first), and ate. ZuuZuu had finished making the breakfast (some soup and rice-balls) and walked over to where Turu and Rune were. "If this forest is so dangerous, what is a little girl and weakling like you doing in it?" Rune had said, ZuuZuu just catching him saying it. "I am not a little girl!" she shouted "I'm 14! And 14 = not little!" ZuuZuu seemed rather upset. Turu looked at her and then at Rune "She dosen't like being called a little girl-" "I AM NOT A LITTLE GIRL" "Uh...yes, and you can call me a weak monster if you want, but you've never seen me in a battle. And the only reason ZuuZuu and I are in this forest is because we're training." Turu smiled."We're always training in these woods, so we know are way around and where all the monsters, demons and ghosts hang out. This spot here isn't much of a threat, so we usually train around this area." ZuuZuu had clamed down and spoke up "Breakfast is done."

Turu looked a bit taken aback at Rune's behavior. Rune just glared at him, feeling very satisfied with all his replies. Turu puffed his cheeks out, starting to have a problem with Rune. "I was only-" Rune cut him off. "I don't care." he said with a very dull tone in his voice. The swordsman tore his gaze away from Turu and looked up at the sky - the sun was starting to rise. Turu was watching Rune, absolutley disgusted with Rune. He turned, wanting to go over to ZuuZuu, but Rune stoppped him. ZuuZuu smiled "Very nice to meet you Rune" she took some things out of her bag and started to cook. Turu just stood there looking at Rune "So then Rune, may I ask what you were doing in this forest?" Rune looked at Turu and simply repiled "no" Turu tilted his head "Ok then....well I have some advice for you, it's not good to be hanging around in this forest alone. Even if you have a sword, this forest is cursed. You know that right?" Rune didn't move, but he did look up when Turu had said that the forest was cursed. Turu continued "Well it is. It's a cursed forest that's swarming with demons, monsters and some ghost here and there. Rune was glaring at Turu, but he stopped when ZuuZuu spoke to him, "Why don't you stay, Turu's right, sunrise is comming soon so I guess I'll be making some breakfast now. Won't you stay?" Rune face went blank. She wants to me to stay...? Even after the way I treated her? He stood there, staring at ZuuZuu. As much as he wanted to move on, he wasn't about to lie and say he wasn't starving. He could use the girl for a meal, and then he'd leave. "...Fine. I'll stay." he said, folding his arms. ZuuZuu smiled up at him, but Turu seemed to be disappointed about Rune's descion. Turu cleared his throat to get Rune's attention. "You still have not given your name." he said. Rune, who was leaning against a tree with his arms crossed, looked down. "...Rune." he grunted.

Rune stared at Turu and ZuuZuu. Okay...well, I jumped to conclusions a bit too fast... he thought to himself, feeling a little stupid concerning his outburst he had with Turu a few minutes ago. "I'm ZuuZuu and this is Turu." the girl had said, and hugged Turu. Rune blinked. This girl was friends with a monster...? He made a face of disgust and turned on his heel, not saying a word. He didn't have time to deal with a girl and her pet, nor did he wish to have anything to do with either of them any further. Turu sighed a little bit. "I, er...I think this guy is a little, uh, grumpy." Rune turned around, glaring at Turu. "I've had just about enough of you..." he said angirly. Of course I'm 'grumpy'! I've been stuck in this damn forest for the past two days...I've have had nothing to eat, my cape has a bunch of holes in it, and there's no sign of any demons in this forest!! he thought to himself. //Rune @ Sunday, October 26, 2003, 04:25 p.m.//
Turu rolled his eyes and ZuuZuu walked up behind him "Hey Turu, thanks" she sais looking at Turu. She glanced up noticing Rune "Oh hello" she looked back over at Turu and held out her sword "Think you can get rid of that dent Turu?" Turu took it from her and looked at it "I don't know Zuu, where'd it get a dent like this from anyway?" ZuuZuu bent down and looked Turu in the eyes "Your claws dented it buudy" Turu's face when blank and he laughed nervously "Did I do that...heh heh. Well I had to help you out since that monster took your sword..." ZuuZuu patted him on the head "Don't worry about it."ZuuZuu walked over to the tree and picked up her bag. She then walked back over to Turu and Rune and sat down "Turu come here" she said as she looked through her bag. Turu walked over to her and sat down, ZuuZuu took out some bandages and wrapped it around his cut arm and then around his tail. She put back the extra bandages back in her bag and got up "Sorry about that" she said to Rune "I'm ZuuZuu and this is Turu" she smiled and hugged Turu.

"YOU NEED TO LEARN SOME MANNERS!" Turu shouted out at Rune as he walked away. Rune completley ignored his comment though. "What a weak monster." he mutterted to himself. Only a mere two minutes passed after his encounter with Turu when he heard a loud, piercing scream from behind him. He whipped around, What was that?! he thought to himself. He ran back to the tree were he had met Turu, but the monster wasn't there. Rune gritted his teeth - why did he let him get away?! Turu was probably the cause of the scream! He grunted and ran in the direction where he heard the scream. He may not be too fond of people, but it didn't mean he wouldn't help... After a short time of running, he tripped over a tree root, making him fall down onto the ground flat on his face. And when he looked up, he saw Turu standing there in front of him. He quickly got up, and pulled out his sword again. "Y-you!" he shouted. Turu turned around, and Rune glared at him. "I shouldn't have let you go! You'll pay for the lives you've stolen." Turu raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?" Rune rolled his eyes. "You know what I'm talking about! I let you go and then you go and kill someone!" he paused, breathing a bit heavily, "I-I heard a scream from over here!"

Turu jumped down from the tree "What a grump" he sat on teh floor "my crackers....now what am I suposed to eat?" He glanced at Rune who was walking off "Hey!" he called out, Rune stoped and turned around "I never got your name-" Rune said nothing and just turned back and started walking off "YOU NEED TO LEARN SOME MANNERS!" Turu shouted out at him.ZuuZuu woke up hearing some noise, she climbed down from the tree and looked around "Now where did Turu run off to? Oh well he'll be back later." A snicker came from the bushes as ZuuZuu slowly walked over to them. A flsh flew by her as she reached for her sword, only to find that it wasn't on her belt. "Looking for this" the creature snickered holding up her sword. "Gice that back!" ZuuZuu screamed, the monster charged at her and she let out a scream.

Rune came to a halt when Turu jumped up into the tree. He looked up bitterly. "Really, I don't want to have to fight you." the monster had said, sitting up in the tree. Rune narrowed his eyes at him, and said nothing. After a moment or two, however, he slowly came to relax a little, then, after a few minutes he put his sword back into his sheath. Turu jumped out of the way, but Rune's sword had hit his arm. His box of crackers had been knocked out of his hand and he looked down at them "Awww did you have to do that?" Rune just glared at him and readyed for another attack. "Ok, ok...I really don't want to fight you" Turu said as he rubed his arm where he had been hit "there's no need to fight, nor is it good to hurt others." Rune looked at Turu and glared at him, saying nothing to answer his question. He didn't trust this monster at all. He didn't trust any monster or demon for that matter. Not after what had happened when he was a child. His whole village had been destroyed by a band of demons, and since then he's been alone, searching for the demon that killed his family and home...
Turu looked at Rune, who still had his sword drawn. "You really don't need that sword..." he said, still sounding polite as ever. He then smiled at Rune, "Are you sure you don't want one?" he asked, "You look like you've-" Rune gritted his teeth and interrupted him. "Shut up...shut up and prepare yourself!" he shouted and gripped his sword tighter then ran over to Turu, full speed.

Turu looked at the man and then at his sword and slowly took out another cracker and poped it in his mouth "Anyways allow me to introduce myself, name's Turu." Rune didn't seem to care, so Turu continued "You don't need that sword you know, I'm not going to hurt you" his ears perked up and listned closly to everything that was going on back where he had left ZuuZuu. "Who are you?" a voice called out. Rune froze in his tracks - he was sure no one would have been able to hear him...he narrowed his eyes, trying to see if you could spot who had spoken. The voice sounded as if it were almost right in front of him...but no one was. What am I so worried about? I have a sword... he thought to himself and walked towards the voice. But it turned out it wasn't a human. Quite the opposite, really. Rune stopped once he saw who had been talking to him and pulled out his sword. A monster. Turu sat under the tree, calmly sitting there with his eyes closed, but he was not yet sleeping. He sighed "This night is quite boring...at least I have training to look forward to tomorrow morning. Turu's stomach growled and he picked up ZuuZuu's backpack which she had left in his care while she slept on a tree branch. He looked through the pack and finally pulled out some crackers and started to nibble on them. "Ah these taste good, I'll have to get ZuuZuu to make me some soup tomorrow, it would go great with these crackers." he said talking to himself.Turu's ears shot up and listened, they did that every minute or so. Listening, carefuly listening for the slighest sound. He could hear a pin drop on a busy street, he hearing was so good. He took out another cracker from the box, but before he could place it in his mouth he heard something...footsteps. He walked over to where the sound was coming from still holding the box of crackers in his right hand and a cracker in his left (Turu is a lefty). He noticed the shadow of someone and called out "Who are you?" in a calm polite voice as he took a bite of his cracker.

Rune steadily made his way through the thick forest, having to stop every once in a while because his cape was getting stuck in bushes and trees, which was really starting to test his patience. He had his sword strapped to his belt, ready if any monster or demon came at him. Which, he was starting to hope would actually happen. It had been a bit boring for him for the past few days. Maybe he'd be able to find his way out of the forest by morning and find somewhere intresting to go to if he kept at it... After another half hour of walking, he was really doubting this forest was a threat - he hadn't seen any sign of a demon anywhere...right then, he had walked straight past a rather big thorny bush, which, to his luck, managed to grab onto his cape. He had been forced to stop, when his cape pulled him back. He gritted his teeth and, fed up with all this, he yanked his cape as hard as he possibly could out of the bush, making him loose his balance and fall down on his rear end. He looked at his cape - it had gotten torn quite a bit in various spots. He groaned and stood up, "I am getting out of his damn forest tonight." he grumbled to himself, all his pateince was completely gone.
He walked faster, but he soon broke out in a jog, and, he was very pleased that his cape had not once gotten caught in anything after what had to be at least 10 minutes. But he quickly stopped when he felt a strange feeling overcome him. Something's nearby... he thought to himself and looked around catiously.

ZuuZuu sat in a tree looking up at the stars "Wow they look beautiful tonight, son't you think so Turu?" she smiled as she looked down at Turu who was sitting under the tree. He looked up at her and nodded "Yes it is beautiful" his voice was calm and soft as he spoke and his eyes sparked with the stars. "Hey Turu when do you want to train tomorrow?" ZuuZuu asked and Turu closed his eyes "Maybe at sunrise, if that's ok with you of course." ZuuZuu giggled a bit "Of course it's ok. It's a very calm night-" "Yes I haven't heard a thing all night. ZuuZuu I don't like that, you can rest now if you like. I'm going to stay up for a while and keep watch." ZuuZuu nodded "ok" and drifted off to sleep.//ZuuZuu @ Sunday, October 26, 2003, 12:29 a.m.//
